The Chicago film industry was on full display this past weekend, as industry professionals spent two days networking at Filmscape which was hosted at Chicago’s biggest film production studio, Cinespace. Cinespace is one of the largest film studios in the world, and has attracted thousands of film industry workers to Chicago. Shows such as Chicago Fire and Chicago PD are filmed at the expansive campus which is set west of downtown Chicago.
From Filmscape’s website:
Filmscape Chicago is a cinema and television production expo that focuses on community building, providing two days of completely free education for technicians, film students, and local filmmakers. Industry vendors will exhibit their newest technologies on the expo floor, and industry technicians and artists will share their expertise with the audience through classes and seminars. Founded by veteran technicians and educators working in and around the Chicagoland area with a passion for the community, Filmscape Chicago is more than a trade show
